Can We Expell NY From The Union?
October 31st, 2007Maybe you haven’t seen the news coming out of New York this week. No it’s not another whacko dancing naked on 42nd street, not another major drug bust and no I’m not talking about the overblown bullshit about Joe leaving as the Yankees manager. I’m talking about the new drivers license plan the governor, Elliot Spitzer, has pushed onto the state without so much as asking anyone within the state for an opinion. Now granted New York has been home to some real nut cases over the years and for those of us that live close to the city there’s not much that can surprise us but the news about craziness from New York usually doesn’t involve the governor!
This new ‘three tier’ license system pisses me off for two different reasons.
1. Spitzer has bowed down to the federal government and their 1984′ish plan of a national identity card. Almost every state in the union has told the federal government to pound salt over this national id mandate. I’d expect this kind of pandering to Washington from some place like Utah or some other ultra conservative state but the LAST state I though would cave in was New York.
2. Spitzer’s infinite wisdom doesn’t stop at kissing Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff ass either. This bozo has come up with a ‘third tier’ license that will be given out to illegal aliens! Now I’m sorry but WHAT THE FUCK? We are going to allow illegal aliens to march into a government building, declare themselves to be an illegal alien, get a pat on the back and a drivers license? Are we kidding?
My big problem here (besides the nazi agenda of a national id card) is the fact that WE, REAL American citizens, that bust our butts for years to get where we are, pay taxes until we are bleeding now have to accept the fact that some illegal can sneak into the country, work without paying a cent in tax, suck in every dollar of social system services that OUR taxes pay for and NOW they get drivers licenses! I mean seriously WHAT THE FUCK ARE WE DOING HERE?
My question is this, why are we not arresting these ILLEGALS when they come in for this license and ship their asses back to wherever they came from? Doesn’t anyone see the key word here ILLEGAL!
You have to wonder how much more insanity this country can take from it’s elected officials before someone gets god damned mad and does something REALLY stupid! It’s bad enough Washington has turned into a Three Stooges episode but now the stupidity and insanity is dribbling down to the state governments! Thank god I’m not a New Yorker but for those of you that are I really think you have to start asking some serious questions about your elected officials because I’m really starting to think they took the red pill!
No freaking wonder Pennsylvania is being overrun by New Yorkers looking to escape!
