The Painful Truth, Whether You Want To Hear It Or Not!

An Absolutely Amazing Article About What America has, and Will Become

July 27th, 2007

As you all know I have been shouting for years about the greed of Corporations and their ability to manipulate both society and government. Today I came across an article written in 2005 by Manuel Valenzuela. Mr Valenzuela sums up just about anything I could possibly say and then some in this article titled “America’s Tomorrow - Burden on Those Yet to Come“. It’s quite a long article but something I think any good American should read. You will feel your stomach churn as you read this article because it smacks you in the face with truths we all know yet mostly ignore. My favorite passage is:

The corporation has become the demon of the modern age, becoming, to 21st century humanity, what totalitarian regimes were to the 20th, a threat allowed to grow and prosper, slowly gaining power and influence, becoming wealthier than entire nations, allowed to control and manipulate the population, swallowing whole the branches of government, becoming overlord of Earth, master of the masses. It is the corporation, allowed to develop through debauched capitalism and the power of the Establishment, through our indifference and failure to act, which has accelerated the dastardly stage of degenerate capitalism we are immersed in today. It is the corporation, and the people that control it, that has become the greatest threat to the continued survival of humankind.

I encourage anyone that cares one ounce about what is happening to take the time to read this article and really think about what this gentleman is saying. His words are more applicable today than they were in 2005. Some may say his words smack of Communism but I would say no, they speak of what happens when capitalism becomes the new demigod, as it has in many countries of the world, but none so much as America.

Is this the type society we want to leave to our children and grandchildren? Shall we sell those unborn children into the slavery of a corporate system gone mad or shall we start the process of fighting back. The American “dream” has become a nightmare, one where survival means working 2 - 3 jobs just to pay the bills. American’s MUST stop allowing themselves to be brainwashed by the media (and their corporate sponsors) into believing life is nothing more than “buying things” and going further into debt. They want you to be in debt! The more you are in debt the more control they have over you as a “worker bee” that will do anything they are told, all on the promise of relief. Why do you think the bankruptcy laws were changed last year, making it next to impossible to eliminate credit card and other forms of debt? Simple, the corporations want you there.

It’s simple psychology actually. Keep a person distracted via their own personal problems and they will almost certainly ignore anything that happens that does not directly affect their lives. People literally start living in their own worlds because their minds are consumed with their personal problems. Debt is without a doubt one of the most consuming problems any human being can face. Some people pull into a shell and hide from the world while some choose to ignore it until it becomes so deep they are faced with the loss of everything. Many will work harder and harder thinking they can beat back the debt beast. The real issue is none of these people face the problem that lies at the heart of the matter, they are being bombarded by the corporate driven media with commercialism gone wild. They are being told day after day that debt is normal and they must buy buy buy!

Well it’s not normal to buy until you are so far in debt you must work multiple jobs just to pay your minimum balances! I equate it to a drug addict. No matter how much they know they are killing themselves, once they are hooked on the drug they can’t stop until it’s too late! Americans have become the new “corporate junky”. They not only supply the drugs they “allow” you to work for them to make just enough to “seem to survive” and it must stop or what this gentleman has written in his article will become even more of a reality than it is today.
