Just My Rant

I don’t know where to start, this election has become a battle of small minded hillbillies that will believe anything they are told by the fear mongering, desperate McCain campaign versus the people that think Obama is the second coming. The divisions are so overwhelming it makes one physically ill.

What happened to the middle? What happened to the America I knew that was willing to give a little to gain a lot?

I have seen videos where McCain supporters screamed “kill him” and “bomb him”, I have heard from normally sane people that I once respected, telling me “I can’t vote for a black man” (Actually they used the N word but I wont be that vulgar here) and it sickens me, it makes me physically ill and I have to ask “have we not learned anything from our ugly history?”

I can not believe how ugly the US population has become, how many ignorant asses have come to the surface of the American dream. How many petty little people have become so small minded that they would result to the ugly UGLY crap I have seen over the past few months. It sickens me to see where my America has gone.

As my regular readers know I have been a major Ron Paul supporter for some time and I still think he is the man for the job right now BUT when I see the hatred, the fear mongering, the slander and the outright racism I have seen over the past few months from John McCain, that IDIOT he picked as his running mate (No I wont even give her enough credit to mention her name) and the moronic followers that have taken up his banner of hatred, fear and lies I can do nothing else but to take the opposition’s point of view and say I MUST vote Obama.

Yes Mr. Obama (and I will give him the credit and respect he deserves by calling him that) isn’t perfect. Some of his positions stand for bigger government, he may even limit my ability to buy guns in some way BUT when I look at the McCain campaign all I can think of is Adolf Hitler .. blame all the country’s problems on one race, one religion and one frame of mind when in fact it is an American ideology problem.

Our problems come from one source, our own stupidity and greed … but small minded, ignorant people need to find a scapegoat, they can’t accept the fact they were their own worst enemy so they lash out at anyone and anything they can. Sacred? Blame the Muslims! Poor, Blame those that would redistribute the wealth (not those that actually pick your pocket every day), Out of work? Blame those that would take any job to feed their family even though those people could never do your job!

To say I am disgusted is an understatement .. to see this hate, this stupidity, this moronic single mindedness makes me wonder if this country has a hope in hell to survive. While other countries (not many) have worked past this simple minded 1900’s mentality many so-called ‘people’ in this once great nation feel we should be fighting the civil war all over again. If that is really where America stands in 2008 then I wonder if we even have a right to exist …. if we are that stupid, that ignorant, that racist does America deserve to exist any more?

At this point I can only hope next Tuesday Obama wins and he does what he says and once and for all shuts there stupid fucking assholes up. If he can’t then I am afraid America is over and I MUST move to some place that make sense, because god knows right now America makes no god damned sense at all!
